Great Korean Beer Festival
100 kinds of craft beer paired with global dishes!
From April 30 to May 3
At COEX SMTOWN Plaza (formerly the Piano Fountain Square) and the entire G20 Plaza area
(Samseong Station, Subway Line No. 2, exits 5 and 6)
Korea has caught the craft beer fever, and microbreweries and specialty beer establishments are popping up everywhere. With a growing number of people bored with mass-produced beer and aching for more variety, craft beer is becoming a trend.
The biggest appeal of craft beer, beer fans agree, is that it allows them to choose the flavors that best suit their moods, their tastes, and their personalities. Since every kind of craft beer is different -- the basic ingredients (water, barley, hops and enzymes) are present in different ratios, and various spices are added -- the flavor of the beer depends on who’s making it.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at COEX SMTOWN Plaza and the entire G20 Plaza area, as part of the C-Festival. (For more information about the C-Festival at the World Trade Center and the surrounding area, visit c-festival.com.) It will feature 100 beers, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, served with specially chosen dishes. There will also be fun events such as stencil tattooing and dart games. The festival is sure to be entertaining for couples, friends and families.
